Unlike large, high-volume shops with expensive overhead and multiple employees, every vehicle here is detailed in a private, home-based garage. That means your car isn’t rushed through an assembly line or handled by a team of technicians — it gets one-on-one attention from start to finish by me personally.
Working out of a home garage significantly reduces overhead costs compared to commercial shops. Those savings are passed directly on to you in the form of more competitive pricing, without sacrificing the quality or attention to detail.
Because I operate from a home-based setup, I can maintain a more controlled environment, ensure better consistency, and focus on quality over quantity. I intentionally limit the number of vehicles I take on so I can spend the time needed to do the job right, not just fast.
You’re also dealing directly with the owner and detailer, which means clear communication, full accountability, and a level of care that’s hard to find at bigger operations. The goal isn’t just to clean your car — it’s to treat it like it’s my own.

Pet hair, Bio hazards, excessive dirt. Every vehicle is assessed upon drop-off and any additional charges will be communicated if necessary. We do not want to charge you more - the level of soiling necessitates extra time.
-
Small SUVs and crossovers are compact vehicles typically built on a car platform. They usually have two rows of seating and a shorter overall length. Examples include vehicles similar in size to a Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, or Ford Escape. These are generally easier to maneuver and take less time to detail compared to larger SUVs.
-
Large SUVs and trucks include full-size SUVs, extended-length SUVs, and pickup trucks. These vehicles are typically built on a truck frame, have larger interiors (often with a third row), and significantly more exterior surface area. Examples include vehicles similar in size to a Chevy Tahoe/Suburban, Ford Expedition, or full-size pickup trucks like an F-150 or Silverado. Due to their size, they require more time, product, and labor to detail.
-
Sedans and coupes are standard passenger cars with a lower profile and smaller overall footprint. Sedans typically have four doors, while coupes have two. These vehicles are straightforward in size and are generally the quickest and most efficient to detail.

Single-stage paint correction removes light wash marring, swirls, and minor scratches in one step, ideal for well-maintained cars that just need a refresh. Two-stage paint correction is more thorough — Stage 1 uses a clear-cut compound to remove moderate swirls, scratches, and oxidation, then Stage 2 applies a finishing polish for maximum gloss and depth. It's best for cars with visible swirls from automatic car washes or Wisconsin winter wear. We evaluate every vehicle and recommend the right level — we never oversell.

Yes — our de-badging service carefully removes factory emblems, cleans off the adhesive residue, and polishes the area smooth for a clean, modern look. It can be added to any Full Detail or Paint Correction service.

Filthy Clean Auto is a drop-off-only detailing shop at 1005 Lincoln Ave in Waukesha, WI, open 7 days a week from 9am to 9pm. Unlike mobile detailers working out of a driveway, every vehicle is detailed in a private garage with controlled water access, power, and shelter from weather — which means more consistent results on paint correction, ceramic coating, and interior extraction work. Services range from Basic and Premium full details to 1- and 2-stage paint correction, clay bar decontamination, ceramic coating, interior steam extraction, headlight restoration, and emblem de-badging.
-
A professional car detailing service goes beyond a surface wash to correct and protect the paint itself. At Filthy Clean Auto, that means multi-stage decontamination (clay bar, iron removal), paint thickness measurement before any correction work to protect the clear coat, machine polishing to remove swirls and light scratches, and long-term protection like ceramic coating or sealant — not just a rinse and wipe-down. Interior work includes steam extraction and odor treatment rather than a quick vacuum. The result is measurable: paint gloss and clarity you can see, and protection that lasts months rather than days.

Look for three things: a dedicated workspace (not just a driveway or parking lot), transparent pricing by service tier, and before/after documentation of past work. Filthy Clean Auto operates out of a private garage rather than mobile setups, which allows for consistent water pressure, indoor lighting for paint inspection, and protection from weather — factors that directly affect the quality of paint correction and ceramic coating work. Pricing is tiered by service (Basic Detail, Premium Detail, paint correction, Winter Armor Package) so you know the cost before booking.
